Holy Spirit Episcopal Church embarked on a significant renovation the existing 10,700 sq ft sanctuary building, including Narthex, choir room, and an added 1,000 sq ft multi-purpose community room. The renovation and modernization of the existing sanctuary improves accessibility, increases natural lighting, and improves audibility of the spoken word and music through modifications to the sanctuary finishes and choir loft walls. Lighting upgrades included adding cove uplighting for the sanctuary’s wood ceilings and wall-washing along the side aisles, new pendants and accent lighting throughout, and new altar lighting. All new lighting is state of the art LED for long lamp life, reduced maintenance, optimized output, and reduced heat load. The project was a recipient of a Solomon Award from WFX, which recognizes churches and their partners for excellence in facilities design, building expansion or remodeling, operational excellence, innovative use and technical production.
